History

In the year 1904, a tide with a height of 10.10 occurred and was experienced in the Philippines and the oceanographer manually managed all the systems and areas of the country and that time there was no agency or organization managed to apply information.


On January 5, 1905 the first new administration in the Philippines was created and named the Philippine National Mission of Oceanology (PHINAMO) that manages and monitors ocean disasters.

The year of 2020 a tide was actually managed and monitored in the ocean and the day on August 25, 2021 the Philippine Institute of Oceanic and Atmospheric (PHINOCAT) was created with the master of National Geography and Demography Administration (NGDA) with the management of actual mandates.

On October 15, 2021 the PHINOCAT was renamed as the Philippine Institute of Tidenology and Seanology Administration (PHITISEA) to the administration of National Agenda of Science and Technology Administration (NASTA) with the management of parent agency.

On January 05, 2022 the PHITISEA was renamed as the Philippine Institute of Tidenology and Seanology (PHITIDES) to the administration of tidenology and seanology that was transferred with the management of oceanology and limnology.

The Philippine Institute of Tidenology and Seanology (PHITIDES) was actually granted and presented the mandates.
