The PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF TIDENOLOGY AND SEANOLOGY (PHITIDES) is closely now on a full view of observation and measuring the Camotes Sea, the Sea of Camotes have experience long high tide with a height level of 6.3 ft to 6.8 ft since the observation hour on 11 January 2024 at 12am to 8am in the morning, people that lives near the coast is advise to go higher ground.

During the time of observation the STMA and TTMA office manage together on the monitoring position due to its high water that is an automatic and not determined, the 6.3 high tide that was measured was determined in the right time, while the 6.8 high tide is not determined by the TTMA. The PHITIDES will handle any of the situation in the sea and we will update an information as soon as possible. People that is near the coast of the sea are strongly advise to move farther from the shore until high tide is over.
