CAMOTES SEA ADVISORY
February 04, 2024
As of 11:15 AM

On February 01, 2024 at 3:45 AM in the morning, the Philippine Institute of Tidenology and Seanology (PHITIDES) recorded a Slab Pull under and over the seafloor of Camotes Sea and Camotes Islands which is part of the CEBU (Poro Island and Pacijan Island) the following list may have been experiencing a concrete of pull slab in the time that was in collaborated to the seafloor and connected through friction of the floor plate, it considered to a gravity ridge push under the sea. It also comes from the Shearing Resistance pulling the friction down to the oceanic plate.

A SLAB PULL is the pulling of oceanic plates down to through the mantle due to the earth’s gravity. This is also cause by the ridge of the oceanic plates and from the ridge pulling over the normal force of the Lithosphere and Asthenosphere; TRENCH SUCTION.

The netizen’s and all the fisherman are strongly advise that do not stay long in the sea for safety purposes only. The PHITIDES will always be on-time to inform and help our country for oceanic hazardous, all concerned stakeholders that are affected and unaffected.
