PHILIPPINE SEA AND SIBUYAN SEA ADVISORY FOR TROPICAL STORM "AGHON" May 26, 2024 As of 11:15 AM
WARNING: This is to remind the public for the Philippine Sea and Sibuyan sea water level condition and its effects of the Tropical Storm Yesterday, the PHITIDES noticed and reported the Sibuyan Sea in a low level of waves occurring through the Sibuyan Island. The DOST-PAGASA issued a Tropical Depression yesterday, 25 May at 8pm. At 8pm the Sibuyan Sea was tracked and measured after the issuance of the Tropical Depression. At 11pm, the Philippine Sea was under surveillance due to the low level waves occurring at 10pm, the Philippine Sea was also tracked and measured after the wave occurrence. After the DOST-PAGASA Tropical Depression issuance at 11pm, the Philippine Sea and Sibuyan Sea is in the abnormal level, water level of the two (2) sea is conveying a strong waves with a meter of 0.8 to 0.9, a high tide also was reportedly rapting during its wave occurrence at the seashore of the island. Today, 26 May at 10am, the DOST-PAGASA issued a Tropical Cyclone Bulletin for the Tropical Depression developed to Tropical Storm. The Philippine Sea and Sibuyan Sea are now in a normal level condition after the Tropical Storm moves and maintains its strength and is now over the region of Calabarzon. However, there is still a high chance of strong waves occurring. As of now, the PHITIDES is under observation of the Philippine Sea and Sibuyan Sea water level by using the tide forecast that is running through its time scheduled today and tomorrow. We rest assured to do our best for the better. We will update everyone on time. The next advisory and update will be issued unless the data of sea-level change is possessed. People near the sea are now on-hold and it is prohibited to do local action in the sea. Fishing and swimming in the sea are not allowed this time. For the information of all, the PHITIDES will closely manage and monitor the sea condition to inform and update all concerned stakeholders. |
