STATEMENT OF 6.0 HIGH TIDE OF CENTRAL LUZON - 21 FEBRUARY 2023

21 Feb, 2023,

Statement of the Tide system:

The PHITIDES recorded a height of 6.0 meter of High Tide at the Time of 12:48 P.M (19 February 2023) in the Afternoon, it was an only automatic solution and it was not monitored through the system it’s an “Unexpected time during the PHITIDES monitoring system every 24-Hours, as the crew of the actual area center it was not under monitored and collaborated through all Tide Stations of PHITIDES after the Occidental Mindoro Station confirmed it was an Automatic tide, that was overcome over the parts of Botolan, Zambales (Central Luzon). The main Tide was all over the Zambales since February 19-21 with many tidal surge that was against the system and alerted.

How it is Monitored?

In the time of 10:00 A.M in the morning, it was flattered from the system that was predicted to the schedule point of the time that at 11AM a height of 1-3 meters of high tide was predicted though, since last year with 4-5 meters also, the prediction time on 12PM it was a big shocked of the height 6.0 meters from Central Luzon, Zambales.

Tide tables are used to predict tides and show the daily times and heights of high water (HW) and low water (LW) in a certain area. Tide tables are accompanied by tidal curves for each location. Tidal curves enable you to predict tide heights at intermediate times.

Predicting tides has always been important to people who look to the sea for their livelihood. Commercial and recreational fishermen use their knowledge of the tides and tidal currents to help them improve their catches. You can look for visual clues like seaweed or wet sand in dry weather to tell if the tide is coming in or out. If the sand above the waterline is wet, you can usually assume that the tide is on its way out. If everything is dry, the tide is probably on its way in.
